Hue Menzies (Former Jamaican Women’s National Team Head Coach)

The Reggae Girlz from Jamaica have surprised the world by advancing to the Round of 16 at the 2023 Women's World Cup.  They shocked France with a draw to open the group stage and did the same to Brazil in the final group game to move on, all after needing help from a Go-Fund-Me page to even travel to the tournament.  The foundation for this success was laid in the buildup to being the first Caribbean nation to qualify for a Women's World Cup in 2019.  That process was led by Hue Menzies.  Hue is a veteran coach accustomed to developing players and programs at all levels of the game.  He is extremely proud not just of the results on the field, but the fact the Jamaican program's success is helping empower young women and impact the culture of his home nation.  Hopefully his insight gives you some context the next time you watch the Reggae Girlz play.Support the showWe appreciate you listening to the Tinman Podcast! Vito Tisdale - Big V of Nappy Roots

Big V joins me from his dispensary and studio for a fun conversation, on a day when he was celebrating the arrival of two new grandkids.  Now operating as a solo artist, he started as a front man of the multi-platinum group Nappy Roots.  We talk a little bit of music, though not as much as I originally planned.   His love for and pride in his family and hometown of Bowling Green, KY are evident.  He also offers a bit of introspection in discussing his appreciation for the opportunities he's had.  There are a couple of interruptions from visitors as Big V enjoys his day, but it just adds to the story. Molly Grisham (Influence, LLC)

Keynote Speaker and Experiential Facilitator, Molly Grisham helps to build and sustain teams in a wide variety of industries. She believes that teams don’t grow apart, they die apart. Additionally, she is now enrolled in a graduate program on Trauma and Resiliency.Molly is down-to-earth and compels her audience to participate in the learning process. Ernie Small (Ernie Small Blues Band)

Emina Ekic (Racing Louisville)

Emina Ekic was the fifth overall pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft, chosen by Racing Louisville in their inaugural season.   She is a Louisville native that stayed home to play out her college career with the Louisville Cardinals, earning 2020 ACC Offensive Player of the Year along the way.   She is finishing up rehab after an injury while playing in Australia, and is about to rejoin the active roster at Racing.  Emina shares about her soccer journey, perseverance through injury, and a couple of pieces of exciting news.  Support the showWe appreciate you listening to the Tinman Podcast! Mary Podesta (Football Official / San Francisco 49ers)

Alli Truttmann (Wicked Sheets)
