Randy Waldrum is the Head Coach of the Nigerian women's soccer team, which is headed back to the Olympics for the first time in 16 years.  This comes on the heels of their first ever trip to the knock round in last year’s Women’s World Cup, where they took eventual runners-up England to penalty kicks.  He was nice enough to share a few minutes as he prepares to head to France.  Waldrum is one of the most successful coaches in NCAA history.  After coaching both the men’s and women’s teams at Tulsa and starting the women’s program at Baylor, he moved to South Bend to lead Notre Dame’s women for 15 years, winning national championships in 2004 and 2010.  Following a stint in the NWSL with Houston Dash, he is currently the head coach at the University of Pittsburgh. His resume also includes previous international coaching experience with Trinidad and Tobago and U.S. youth national teams. Support the showWe appreciate you listening to the Tinman Podcast!
